About the Teacher

ISKCON Bhagavat Mahavidyalaya aims to provide a facility for its members to study, practice, and disseminate the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam, along with the writings of the Gaudiya Vaisnava acaryas and the branches of Vedic philosophy, culture, music and science in the context of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings. ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya is located in Sri Govardhan dhama to systematically propagate the teachings of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and Caitanya-caritāmṛta to the society at large.

To accomplish the above mission, ISKCON Bhagavata Mahavidyalaya will facilitate philosophical training for adult residential and non-residential students through the traditional Vedic educational methods. ISKCON Bhagavat Mahavidyalaya has been inspired by the service and efforts of His Grace Gopiparanadhana Prabhu and His Holiness Gaur Krishna Gosvami Maharaja. Their dedication toward the study and the dissemination of the teachings of Srimad Bhagavatam is the torchlight guiding us forward to serve this mission.

Vedic Parenting Course

The Vedic Parenting course by Sanskriti Arya Gurukulam offers a comprehensive understanding of traditional Indian parenting based on the principles of Panchakosha Vikas. This course is designed to help parents nurture their children effectively, ensuring their holistic development and fostering an ideal family system.

Course Content:

Understanding the Concept of Vedic Parenting:

Introduction to Vedic Parenting and its significance in Indian culture.
The historical context of Indian parenthood and its impact on society.

The Three Dimensions of Parenthood:

The Doer (Parents): Understanding the roles of mother and father.
The Action (Responsibility): Methods of effective child-rearing and parental duties.
The Establishment of Work (Child): Focusing on the child's development and needs.

Panchakosha Development:

Exploring the five layers of human development (Panchkosha).
Implementing Panchakosha principles in parenting to nurture a child’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Influence of Parental Actions and Presence:

How parents’ behavior, actions, and presence impact a child.
The importance of positive influence and setting a good example.

Home as the First School:

The role of the home environment in a child’s upbringing.
Techniques for creating a nurturing and educational home atmosphere.

Building a Strong Parent-Child Relationship:

Effective communication strategies.
Establishing trust and understanding between parents and children.

Guidance from Acharya Mehulbhai:

Insights and teachings from the current President of Sanskriti Arya Gurukulam.
Practical advice and wisdom for implementing Vedic parenting principles.
